Hotel Review: The Wynn/Encore Las Vegas

Hi everyone! As a born and raised Los Angeles native it’s somewhat a rite of passage to become an OFFICIAL Angelino when you visit Las Vegas. Vegas is one of the most visited cities & top tourist attractions in the world, so when it’s an hours flight from your home you are obligated to travel there at least once a year when living in Los Angeles! Ever since I was a child my parents would take us out to Vegas for Christmas and summer trips, staying at some of the most famous resort and casinos Vegas had to offer. I’ve also been to some of the dive-iest college salary hotels as well, but either way Vegas always offers a good time no matter where I stayed! Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed at The Wynn/The Encore has to be my all-time favorite in the city and at this point in my travels… the world!

Welcome to the Wynn/Encore Resort & Casino

The Encore tower suites have everything you are looking for when on your annual vacation or a mini break (if you are lucky enough to be a short distance from sin city.) I’ve been staying here since Steve Wynn decided one of his signature hotels wasn’t enough, so he thought why not create a clone that was even more spectacular and luxurious than the first resort!? The moment you arrive you are greeted by friendly staff that brings your bags straight into the holding area while you speak to the VIP tower front desk. Our hostess Kathleen provides the best room accommodation nearest the highest floor in this 60 story high building for optimal views of the Vegas strip, desert and famous Beach Club. If you are looking for a more natural view there is also the Wynn Golf course side with views of the largest golf course in Nevada and the lovely desert with Nevada Mountains as a backdrop. After receiving your room key you can enjoy refreshments in the VIP high rollers room, make sure to look out for my favorite employee Vincent, he’s the man and defo makes amazing Cappuccinos!

The Suites

The rooms in the Encore tower suits are beyond breath taking. Every suite comes with a lovely sleeping area and your own living room with gorgeous detailed furniture and unique artwork handpicked by Steve Wynn himself. The suites also contain floor to ceiling windows with sound proof glass, so you can enjoy the magnificent strip lights & The Wynn-Encore day/nightclubs without the hustle bustle of the sin city noise. If you are the lazy traveler (like me when I am in full vacation mode) there are bedside controls of the lights, curtains, and television all in one remote! The bathroom is equally luxurious as the suites and has all the amenities one seeks when staying in a 5 star resort. Both a full Jacuzzi style bath and showers with hand held faucets are in each bathroom depending on your mood. His and her sinks are offered with a private toilette room within the bathroom as well. If you are in the mood to stay up in your room, the best room service is provided with the highest quality food from the 5 star resort kitchen 24 hours a day.

Entertainment

When it comes to entertainment, there is no match to the Encore/Wynn hands down. From insanely fun day parties at the Encore Beach club to the incredible European style pool for 18+ (if you choose to go topless or covered) this is the place to be for the daylight partiers. With a drink in hand, daily world famous guest DJ’s spinning, or options for outdoor blackjack/poker tables your desert oasis paradise awaits you. If you are not seeking the hot desert sun tan, head to The Encore Spa for an amazing 50 min fusion massage with access to sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzis. Each Spa stay also comes with a day pass to the gym if you are motivated to work out before or after your relaxation time.

If you are a nightlife person the Wynn/Encore is without a doubt the place to be! From the XS night club, Surrender nightclub, to the brand new Intrigue nightclub the world’s most famous resident DJ’s at The Wynn resorts include: Skrillex, Alesso, DJ Snake, Diplo, David Guetta, Flosstradamus and many more. It’s Las Vegas so gambling is a must and the casinos at the Wynn/Encore have everything your heart desires from slots, poker machines, blackjack tables, roulette, craps tables and even hold em’ poker tournament rooms. Feeling brave? You can ditch the $25 minimum and also head to high roller casino rooms reserved for the professional gamblers. Drinks are always complimentary anywhere you are playing in the casino, so if you lose everything at least you gained a buzz! Want to save your money and hangover? Check out a show right here in the comfort of the resort. The world renowned LE RÊVE – THE DREAM Voted “Best Production Show” in Las Vegas for an unprecedented six consecutive years is sure to please your entertainment needs! If none of that seems to interesting you, just take a walk through the resort and casino for eye catching sights all around you. There are always beautiful art installations scattered along the famous ESPLANADE, where you can also find high fashion brands or window shop! The themes vary all over the Hotel so its always an eyegasm wherever you turn! Check out my favorite spot in the resort, the flower garden at the Wynn where fresh flowers are replaced everyday in interesting sculptures and pieces related to the season!

Restaurants/Cuisine

I consider myself a foodie and one of the major reasons why I am in love with the Wynn/Encore is the delicious cuisine on offer in both hotels. My favorite of them all is the SW steakhouse located at the Wynn, with incredible steaks and sides complimented with perfect wine pairing. Amazing outdoor plunge waterfalls at the lake of dreams, in incredible Asian inspired scenery of the resort do help when dining at this gorgeous spot. If you are more of the casual stop and go eater check out Terrace point café (which have the BEST pancakes in the world), the Zoozoo cracker Deli  for delicious new York style treats & views of the sports/bettering room holding multiple game broadcasts, Jardin with scrumptious burgers and dishes poolside or the Café at the Wynn for a small snack/coffee. Las Vegas is always known to go big and your vacation would never be complete without a visit to one of its famous Buffets! The Wynn has an incredible Buffet (which happens to be my favorite) with foods from all over the world so you can indulge in whatever you heart desires! Looking for a fancier sit down meal? The Wynn has your fine dining needs covered with Mizumi, SW steakhouse (noted above), Andreas, and the Country club with lovely views of the Wynn Golf course (which are just a few to mention.)

In review, all in all The Wynn resorts are hands down the best place to stay in Las Vegas. The fresh flowers, colorful interior décor, famous artists sculpture on show scattered around the resort and luxurious shopping ESPLANADE this place is sure to please all your needs. With entertainment, dining, and casino fun you won’t ever need to leave the comfort of the resort to get the full Las Vegas Experience you seek! I highly recommend it and give it the LAtravelGirl stamp of approval! Feel free to share with friends & fellow travelers heading to the Las Vegas Desert!
